How to make Creamy Pesto Pasta

This is a recipe for one of my all-time favorite pasta dishes: Creamy Pesto Pasta. I have my sister to thank for this culinary gem, as she graciously taught us how to prepare it, allowing us to recreate it in our own kitchen. My sister has a remarkable palate when it comes to food, and this recipe, in particular, stands as a testament to her culinary prowess. What makes this dish even more appealing is its simplicity and speed of preparation. You have the option to craft your own fresh basil pesto from scratch, or you can conveniently purchase pre-made pesto sauce at your local supermarket. In our case, we opted for the ready-made pesto sauce, making the cooking process even more hassle-free. Here’s an improved version of the procedure for preparing this delightful Creamy Pesto Pasta: Begin by cooking the fettuccine in a pot of boiling water, ensuring you keep a close eye on it to prevent overcooking. In a skillet, heat approximately 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. If desired, add …

Tanza Food Trip: B.A.G.A. Manila

B.A.G.A, which stands for Barbecuers and Grillers Association, is a culinary haven that specializes in serving delectable barbecues, an array of grilled foods, refreshing fruit shakes, mouthwatering burgers, crispy fries, and a selection of high-quality dishes. You can find this delightful gastronomic destination nestled in Tanza Food Trip, and their presence is slated to grace the area until February 28, 2017, in celebration of Tanza Day. One of the standout attributes of B.A.G.A is their unwavering commitment to cleanliness, both in the preparation and serving of their dishes, which speaks volumes about their dedication to providing a satisfying dining experience. In particular, their barbecue is a definite standout, earning my vote as the best barbecue I’ve ever had. While their offerings mostly hit the mark, I must admit that the fries fell slightly short of my expectations. They were a tad on the expensive side, and their flavor profile left something to be desired; a bit too plain for my taste. However, a bright spot on their menu was their fresh fried potatoes (apologies for …

ASIN Mini Concert

I’m a true music enthusiast, and I have a special fondness for old songs from iconic bands like Westlife, Backstreet Boys, Carpenters, and more. However, recently, I embarked on a delightful journey to explore the hit songs that reigned supreme during my mother’s era. So, when she invited me to join our family last night for a live performance by “Asin,” featuring the renowned vocalist Lolita Carbon, at Jedini Resto-Bar nearby, I couldn’t resist the opportunity. “Asin” is a revered Pinoy folk rock band that has made its mark in the Philippines’ music scene. They initially started as a trio in the late 1970s, originally bearing the name “Salt of the Earth.” “Asin” is the Filipino word for salt. Stepping into Jedini Resto-Bar for the first time, I found it to be a cozy albeit somewhat small place, but it was definitely manageable. The only downside was the prices of the food, which seemed a bit on the higher side. Their nachos, in particular, didn’t meet my taste expectations, as they had an unusual aftertaste. …

Late Birthday Celebration

We indulged in a belated birthday celebration with my family, opting for a sumptuous lunch at Vikings in the Mall of Asia. This was my inaugural experience at such an upscale buffet, as I generally prefer not to splurge on dining out. Gratitude goes to my sister, a medical intern, who treated us to this extraordinary feast. I seized the opportunity to fully relish the occasion, and I must say that I was absolutely enamored by the gastronomic offerings at Vikings. From the delectable sushi and mouthwatering cakes to the perfectly grilled pork, tantalizing seafood, and an assortment of heavenly ice creams and beverages, every bite was a taste of pure bliss.
